THE SUMMER SET
A two- piece set focused on sustainability through material and intent.
CONCEPT
The concept for this two-piece summer set began with sustainability as a guiding theme. Comfort and ease were central to the ideation, drawing inspiration from warm summer evenings and the desire for breathable, lightweight clothing that feels intentional and refined.
Beyond material choice, I also prioritized sustainability through wearability, designing pieces that can be styled separately and adapted for multiple occasions, rather than being left unworn after one season.
COMPLETION
All materials for the set were sourced from secondhand fabric store, Ric Rack, in New Orleans. This reinforced the environmentally conscious approach to the project. The final design includes a halter-neck, open-back tank top paired with wide-leg pants accented by a crocheted side detail. The loose silhouette prioritizes comfort and movement in hot weather while maintaining versatility and wearability, resulting in a set designed to feel both confident and practical in everyday summer settings.
